Selection Support

Find the Right Hardware with Our Selection Tools

Our online tools make it easy to find the right component—just input your installation conditions to get started. A variety of tools are available to support selection and calculation for more complex products, including torque hinges, power-assist stays, load capacity for hinges, and linear guide compatibility. These tools help reduce the time and effort required for product selection.

For specialised motion such as soft-closing or soft-opening doors and lids, holding a flap or lid at multiple angles, or assisting the lift of heavy doors, use our MDT Selection Tools for hinges and stays. These tools allow you to calculate factors like moment and opening force, with results shown in clear, easy-to-read graphs.

For more information on other specialised movements, please visit our Motion Design Tec page.

Showrooms

Sugatsune showrooms around the world—located in the USA, UK, Germany, China, and India—offer the opportunity to see and try products in person. Visitors can experience how components feel in use, check damper resistance, and inspect surface finishes and material quality—details that are hard to judge from a catalogue or website alone.

If there is no showroom in your area, it may still be possible to view samples through one of our authorised distributors.

Note: Japan also has showrooms in Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, Kyoto, and Fukuoka. The Tokyo showroom is currently closed for a full renovation and is scheduled to reopen in 2026.
